Our client is a consulting company serving the energy, petrochemical and power sectors. Clients range from Fortune 500 companies, major utilities, financial institutions, government agencies and development banks. The company’s project work combines extensive industry experience, knowledge and information with well established management consulting tools and skills. The company is global, with principal offices in Europe, USA, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The company is well capitalised and the outlook has never been better to leverage consulting opportunities across the chemicals and energy space.
We are looking for a mid-level consultant to join the chemicals team to help win and deliver the highest standards of management consultancy assignment in support of blue chip clients within the industry and international finance community.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Assist in the identification of leads for consulting assignments.
- Contribute to work relating to proposal preparation.
- Assist in the execution, delivery, and management of consulting engagements.
- Work closely with clients and assists in building strong clients relationships.
- To provide product / market / business evaluations and formulate strategies.
- Manage and deliver business analysis for reports and presentations.
- Work across a broad range of chemicals and energy sectors.
- To meet internal time and budget constraints.
- To assist and support team members in all aspects of engagement delivery.
- The consultant will conduct, and direct others, in the research of petrochemical industry’s prices, profitability, production, consumption and trade. |

Candidate Requirements: |
Education and qualifications:
- -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant discipline (PhD even better)
- -Excellent standard of academic qualifications
- -Good first degree in a subject relevant to the energy industry (for example chemical engineering, chemistry)
2 Skills & Experience
- You should have at least 4 years experience in consulting or industry
- Your experience should mainly have a technical or commercial focus
- Excellent presentation and confident report writing skills
- Demonstrable leadership and management skills
- Experience of delivering business cases to sponsors and investors
- Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with clients
- Proven ability to generate consulting revenue and closing sales
- Has experience working on small projects or business development
3 Personal qualities and Knowledge
- Positive and flexible attitude to work particularly new initiatives
- Diplomatic in meeting and working with people, good cultural awareness
- Understanding and commitment to equal opportunities
- Capable of developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Willingness to travel globally
4 Details
Hours: 40 per week. Some evening and weekend activities on occasion
- Occasional travel overseas.
Holidays - 20 days rising with service to 25.
5 Work Permit
- Must be eligible to work within the UK
