Our client is a consulting company serving the energy, petrochemical and power sectors. Clients range from Fortune 500 companies, major utilities, financial institutions, government agencies and development banks. The companys project work combines extensive industry experience, knowledge and information with well established management consulting tools and skills. The company is global, with principal offices in Europe, USA, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The company is well capitalised and the outlook has never been better to leverage consulting opportunities across the chemicals and energy space.
We are searching for 2 consulting roles roles in the oil refining sector.
The most senior individual will be a Project Manager, details of which are below. The package for this will include a base and bonus potential comfortably into £ Six figures. It is imperative that this person has an established track record in the consulting sector underpinned by a solid background in the refining industry.
The Consultant would work in the team and compensation would be competitve but less than the Project Manager. It is less critical for the Consultant to have prior consulting experience but still helpful.
Project Manager / Key areas of responsibility:
Lead the identification of leads for consulting assignments in this sector
Significantly contribute to work relating to proposal preparation.
Assist in the execution, delivery, and management of consulting engagements.
Work closely with clients and assists in building strong clients relationships.
Provide product / market / business evaluations and formulate strategies.
Manage and deliver business analysis for reports and presentations.

Candidate Requirements: |
1 Education and qualifications
Good first degree or better in a relevant subject (eg chemical engineering, chemistry)
Higher degree in relevant subject (PHD) and/or an MBA or equivalent even better
2 Skills & Experience
Project Manager role must have 5-7 years consulting experience
Solid external experience with a technical or commercial focus
Excellent presentation and confident report writing skills
Demonstrable leadership and management skills
Experience of delivering business cases to sponsors and investors
Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with clients
Proven ability to generate consulting revenue and closing sales
Experience working on small projects or business development
3 Personal qualities and Knowledge
Positive and flexible attitude to work particularly new initiatives
Diplomatic in meeting and working with people, good cultural awareness
Understanding and commitment to equal opportunities
Capable of developing and maintaining strong client relationships
Willingness to travel globally.
4 Work Permit
Must be eligible to work within the UK
