Job Description: |
Our client is an innovative company engaged in the production of alternative carbon nanostructures (Carbon Black) for industrial use. To support their international growth they are looking for a leader with an entrepreneurial spirit for the role of Director of R&D. As an innovative company they are offering more than a job. Decisions are made quickly, without bureaucracy and without any hidden agendas. Successful candidate must have MINIMUM 10 years Carbon Black experience.
Your Responsibilities:
Identify and manage initiatives on the technical characterization of products
Lead interdisciplinary teams to advance the technology and to give further impulse for innovation
Develop the patent strategy and manage the company's IP portfolio
Manage cooperation with the academic advisory board and external research institutes
Identify and develop cooperative relationships with worldwide leading experts in relevant disciplines
Document and report on R&D work for academic journals or industry conferences

Candidate Requirements: |
Masters degree in chemistry, physics or other relevant areas; a PhD in a relevant area is preferred
Ability to work in a structured and scientific way
Comprehensive and specialized knowledge in the area of carbon blacks and polymers is preferred
Experience in the rubber or carbon black industry or other relevant areas
Fluency in German or other foreign languages is preferred but not required
